Across the country, there is an extraordinary need for more behavioral health services and research to hep children and adolescents.
The Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion at Nationwide Children’s Hospital represents an effort to address that need in the Central Ohio community. Thanks to a transformational $50 million gift from Big Lots and the Big Lots Foundation, the Pavilion opened in March 2020. At nine stories and 386,000 square feet, it is America’s largest center dedicated exclusively to child and adolescent mental and behavioral health on a pediatric medical campus.
It’s transformational. It’s innovative. It’s stigma-breaking.
The Pavilion prioritizes patient safety in a colorful, friendly environment. Featuring inpatient services, outpatient services, a Psychiatric Crisis Department and research, this integrated approach serves as a national model of care.
